To wake up in the decadent salons of an enchanted house, amid the remains of a fancy dress ball and the dressing gowns of ghostly women. It seems to be a dream, but in fact it's LiliRoze's photo shoot for the couturier Maurizio Galante.
“I don't photograph what I see, but what I feel”, this is the sentence LiliRoze utters as if emerging from a dream, like a poet-reporter from a secret palace, concealed beneath a desert oasis or a cliffside cave.
And accompanied by portraits with a vague profile, hallucinated visions of women immersed in the atmosphere of a era which is sumptuous yet in decline and traces of faded dreams.
They are revelations crushed between the fleeting unconscious and the shadow of deep, fragile secrets. Where grace and intimacy are captured in the moment that they meet, in a gesture suspended in time.
Born in Geneva in 1972, passionate about photography from a very young age, after discovering her father's shots, LiliRoze graduated from ENS Louis Lumière in 1997 and has worked alongside famous photographers ever since.
In 2006, she won the Leica Prize of Les Indèpendances and best photo of the year in 2010 in the “Fashion and Beauty" category instituted by the APPPF (Agency for the promotion of professional photography in France). LiliRoze is now a freelance photographer busy with her personal research.
