When I asked him about his inspirations, he explains that he’s always had a strong obsession with ancient Greek mythology: “- It’s so bitter-sweet, a tragic world of mystery, beauty and ugliness. I’m also inspired by the work of Helmut Newton, particularly the way he depicts these women as so powerful and sexual. That being said, my biggest inspiration would probably be people in general. Strangers on the train, people I come across while travelling, I like to make up stories in my mind about who they are and what they do, and whenever that happens I get a strong itch to pick up my camera and try to show that.”
